What is The Drop By? And Who am I?

So glad you asked.

I am a longtime journalist and former editor at Women’s Wear Daily and the Los Angeles Times. For the past 20 years, I have covered fashion, beauty, brand launches, red carpet, and culture for the aforementioned publications plus Business of Fashion, CNN, Elle, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune and Vogue Philippines. My book City of Style, explored Los Angeles’ influence on global style. You can certainly peruse all of this work at my website if you’re ever curious, but I think you’re here because you want to read something a little more streamlined and bite-sized.

This is what The Drop By aims to deliver; short, neat and sweet little recommendations about fashion, beauty and lifestyle that I’ve culled during my double decade career of trying, previewing, reporting and researching all corners of these categories. Also, by “Drop” I mean a minimal (but potent) amount of information because there are already a billion+++ other types of content flying at you from all directions daily. I know, I still write some of it beyond the walls of this newsletter.

Plus! Some favorite writers, editors, influencers, beauty experts, fashion execs who I am fortunate enough to call friends, will be “dropping by” to share what products they’re loving and using right now.
